Ministry Team

Senior Pastor

Dr. Terry CutrerDr. Terry Cutrer grew up across the state line in Pascagoula, Mississippi. After his graduation from high school, he attended Mississippi College, Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he received his doctorate in 1986.

Through the years, Dr. Cutrer has pastored churches from Medina, Ohio to Biloxi, Mississippi and points in between. Along the way, he married Dale Helmbold from Birmingham, Alabama. They have three daughters: Carrie, Cassie and Corrie.

One of Dr. Cutrer’s favorite words is expect. True faith involves an expectation that the Lord not only can, but will work among us.

May we all expect the Lord to speak to us today!

Associate Pastor / College Minister

Rev. Michael Pierce joined the leadership team at MRBC in July 2005 after serving churches in Mississippi and Kentucky. Michael and his wife Melinda are natives of Vicksburg, MS and have six beautiful children.

After high school, Michael attended Mississippi College where he received his M.Ed. in Counseling in 1988. He was a teacher, coach, and guidance counselor before entering full-time ministry.

Michael believes that each person is born by God’s purpose and for His purpose. His passion and desire is to lead others to discover that purpose in and for their lives, then challenge them to live in such a way as to fulfill that purpose for the glory of Jesus Christ!

Worship Pastor

Dr. Lee Rider joined the leadership team at MRBC in August 2009 after serving churches in Mississippi. Lee and his wife Tammy have two children, Christian and Connor.

Dr. Lee attended Mississippi College where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Music and a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting. After his time at Mississippi College, he felt the Lord urging him to attend seminary, and in 2011 Lee received his D.W.S from the Institute for Worship Studies.

Dr. Rider’s desire is to see God glorified through a worship lifestyle and for God to use him to lead MRBC in corporate worship that is always guided by the Holy Spirit. His passion is to see worshipers giving God a true sacrifice of praise by realizing that the focus of worship is not on ourselves, our wants, our problems, or our circumstances, but entirely on God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Student Pastor

Rev. Donnie Jones joined the leadership team at MRBC in February 2009 after serving churches in Mississippi and Texas. Donnie and his wife Ashley have been married for over 8 years.

Upon completion of High School, Donnie attended Jones County Junior College, Ellisville, MS, where he received his Associates degree in Communication. He then went on to William Carey College, Hattiesburg, MS, where he attained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Donnie is in his final stages of completing a Master of Divinity degree at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
